As part of a collection of stuff rescued from an office clear-out, we got two of these very sturdy steel up-stands which had been used as the base for small conference tables. Our original plan was to use them for a custom made dining table, but it turned out that the stand bases were too large and sitting at the table wasn’t comfortable when using these. So that project was put on hold (more on that to follow later). And so we put one of these stands to use as a plant holder. A little raw perhaps but a very sturdy and aesthetically appealing option, that also serves to keep one of our plants (and soil) out of reach for little fingers. It may become something else in the future when we get tired of looking at it.
