Kid’s Table

The table started with a pair of plastic pipes that were the centre for rolls of breathable membrane that we used on our house. They were lying around for a while in the leftover stuff that we were hoping to not have to dump from our construction project – perfect for table legs as it turned out. The top was a piece of plywood well sanded down to remove rough edges and the legs were attached by placing them onto some wooden 2x2 posts that were screwed to the table top in the leg positions. Some nice painting and it was done. When our first child came along, enthusiasm was high and so the little wooden chair was also made to go along with it. We didn’t think at the time that we would need three, so the other two chairs came later (rescued from a recycling skip also). Both table and chair have been in constant use ever since and are lasting well.
